Second, it offers a single form that sends your request to one independent, California-licensed plumbing company serving your ZIP code — instead of you calling six shops and repeating the same story six times.
The plumbing company pays for that introduction; you do not. That is the standard referral model, and it is stated here and on the how we match plumbers page so nobody has to guess how the site is funded. There is no charge to you at any point and no obligation to hire whoever calls.
What this site is not
- It is not a plumbing contractor and holds no contractor's license. Nobody from this site comes to your house, quotes a job, performs work, or supervises it. How the research is done
Cost figures. As of September 2026, no Visalia plumbing company publishes its prices — this site reviewed ten local company websites and found none. So every dollar range on this site is compiled from dated national cost guides, cross-checked against California plumber-published guides where one exists, and against the one Central Valley plumber found publishing a hard price. Every table labels each row with how local its sourcing actually is (National, California, or Central Valley), and every table has a collapsible list of the exact sources with their dates. All figures live in one dataset, so no two pages can disagree. The current set draws on 34 distinct source pages and was last verified 2026-09-13, with a recheck every six months.
Local facts. Phone numbers, permit rules, water-hardness figures, and climate claims come from the primary source — the City of Visalia's own permit handouts and municipal code, Cal Water's published water quality report, city public-works pages for Tulare, Hanford, Exeter, and Porterville, and NOAA-derived climate records — each with a verification date. Where a fact could not be sourced, the page says so rather than filling the gap from memory. Two examples on this site: no city in the service area publishes where a homeowner's sewer-lateral responsibility ends, and the exact count of freezing nights in a Visalia winter has not yet been pulled from NOAA's station normals. Both are stated as unknowns on the relevant pages.
Licensing and legal claims. A request sent through the form goes to one company, named to you when you submit, and to no one else. Your details are never sold or shared for marketing. Serving Visalia and the surrounding Tulare and Kings County area — specifically Visalia, Tulare, Hanford, Exeter, and Porterville. Visalia is the Tulare County seat. Tulare, Exeter, and Porterville are also in Tulare County; Hanford is the seat of neighboring Kings County. The service area page lists which city department handles a sewer or water emergency at each address, because that is the one thing that genuinely changes from town to town.
